A Little Bit About Me

If I had to choose one word to describe myself, it would be unconventional. Sure, it can carry some mixed reactions, but to me, it’s where the magic happens. Convention has its place, but it can also get stale. I’m a systems thinker, and I love a good process, but when the same frustrations keep popping up, it’s a sign that things need to change. Just because something worked yesterday doesn’t mean it’s the right answer for today.

I’m all about pushing boundaries and rethinking what’s possible. The world’s constantly changing, and how we work and think should evolve with it. Holding on to the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mindset? That just doesn’t cut it anymore. The best solutions come when we’re willing to shake things up a bit. And that’s where I come alive—right at the crossroads of ambiguity and problem-solving.

Originally from California, I’ve called Atlanta home for the past decade. My journey hasn’t been straightforward, but it’s shaped the way I think. Starting out in animation, reality TV, and advertising, I learned how to blend creativity with structure. Whether I was producing commercials or managing the creative execution for integrated campaigns, I thrived on turning ideas into reality.

When I transitioned into the tech world, I realized my creative mindset gave me a unique edge. Technology is the foundation of everything we do today, and I’ve developed a deep understanding of how it connects our digital and physical worlds. I’m not an engineer, but I’ve learned to navigate this ever-changing landscape, finding ways to use technology to solve problems, streamline processes, and make things work better. I believe that creativity and strategy are most powerful when they’re built on a strong technical foundation.

Empathy has always been a big part of who I am, and it drives my leadership style. I’m a servant leader at heart, focused on supporting the team and fostering collaboration. I believe that empathy is key to innovation—when we truly understand the people around us, we can create better solutions and stronger teams.

At home, my creativity spills over into everything I do. Whether it’s hand-making Halloween costumes for my kids or taking on their latest school project, I can’t resist getting a little crafty. My husband Mike and our two boys, Booker and Leiland, keep life full of laughter, and our golden retriever, Sunny, makes sure there’s never a quiet moment.

While I’m naturally introverted, I’ve learned to adapt and connect with others in all sorts of settings. Whether I’m leading from the front or working quietly behind the scenes, I’m driven by the belief that creativity, strategy, and technology can work hand-in-hand to make a real impact. It’s not about being in the spotlight—it’s about doing work that matters and finding new ways to evolve how and why we do what we do.
